Terms of Use and Sale
The rules governing the game, your account, virtual currencies and purchases. By creating an account or playing Go Chat !, you accept them.
Who publishes the game
Go Chat ! is published by YAOHACHI, a French SAS registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 952 817 799, 35 rue de Nantes, 75019 Paris, France — hello@yaohachi.com. Full details are in the legal notice.
The game
Go Chat ! is a location-based cat-and-mouse game: you play on the map of your city, physically approaching other players to tag them. The game runs in rounds: roles, round points and some items reset at regular intervals — that is the normal cycle of the game. It is currently in limited-access beta, by invitation.
Your account
- The game is restricted to people aged 13 and over.
- Sign-in goes through Game Center (iOS), Google Play Games (Android) or, failing that, an identifier tied to your device.
- Your nickname is public and must stay appropriate: no insults, impersonation or offensive content — a filter may reject some nicknames.
- One account per player. You are responsible for access to your device and your platform account.
Rules of conduct
The following are prohibited:
- Spoofing your GPS position — outside the built-in “chosen position” mode, which exists precisely to play without moving, fairly;
- Automating the game (bots, scripts, coordinated multi-accounts);
- Exploiting a bug instead of reporting it to support;
- Harassing other players, in or around the game;
- Deliberately disrupting or overloading the service.
In case of a breach, the account may be suspended or deleted. Except in urgent cases, you will be informed and can respond via support.
Your safety outside
The game is played in real public space: stay aware of your surroundings. Follow traffic rules, never play while driving, do not enter private property or dangerous places, and keep your eyes on the world rather than the screen. The “chosen position” mode lets you play without moving.
Virtual currencies and items
Gold, tokens, kilometric points, energy, gear, chests, traps, boosts and other game content are virtual items: you get a personal licence to use them within the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for real money, and are non-refundable (statutory rights aside). Game balance evolves: item effects and values may change, and round-bound elements reset with the next round.
Purchases and subscription
- Purchases are made inside the app, through the App Store or Google Play: the price including tax is shown before each purchase; payment and billing are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
- Purchased content is credited immediately to your account after validation.
- Right of withdrawal: by confirming a purchase of digital content delivered immediately, you consent to its immediate performance and waive your 14-day right of withdrawal (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
- Refund requests go through Apple or Google, under their policies and your statutory rights. If something goes wrong (uncredited purchase…), write to support.
- The Hunter Pack is a subscription (monthly or yearly) with automatic renewal, cancellable at any time from your store's subscription settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Its perks are detailed in the app.
Intellectual property
The game, its name, visuals and content remain the property of YAOHACHI (or its licensors). You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application to play, and nothing more.
Availability and changes
During the beta, the service is provided as is: it may be interrupted, modified or rebalanced, and features may be added or removed. If the game shuts down permanently, you will be informed in the app with reasonable notice.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time — the process is described on this page, and the fate of each piece of data in the privacy policy.
Liability
YAOHACHI strives for a reliable service but cannot guarantee continuous availability during the beta, nor answer for damages caused by ignoring the safety guidance above. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits statutory warranties or liability that cannot be excluded.
Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
These terms may evolve with the game. In case of significant change, you will be informed in the app before it takes effect; continuing to play means acceptance, and you may otherwise delete your account.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, write to support first: most issues get solved there. In accordance with the French Consumer Code provisions on consumer dispute mediation, after contacting us and absent a satisfactory answer, you may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator we have appointed:
